Auctioneerist Charity Auctions was honored to once again host the benefit auction at the kickoff dinner to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo this past Friday night, September 15th, 2016. As always, it was fun performing and interacting with a sold out crowd to raise money for so many worthy causes in our local community and beyond. Over all it was a fantastic start to this year’s Sheriff’s Rodeo!
17th Annual PRCA Sanctioned San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo, September 16th-18th, 2016!
The yearly San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo is a long weekend community event which brings residents, local business owners and all manner of county officials and law enforcement together to raise money and support for charitable organizations. The goal is to provide a rodeo event that will also bring a better understanding of the relationship between law enforcement and public in the local community. The proceeds of the event will benefit various charitable organizations including Boy and Girl Scouts of America and the California Inland Empire Council. The rodeo event is endorsed by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (P.R.C.A.).

Rodeos have played an important role in San Bernardino culture since 1957. Through the generous support of businesses and sponsors in the local community along with the dedication of volunteers, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo is an opportunity for visitors to experience a rodeo event that provides entertainment for the entire family. Some of the most popular events include bull riding, calf roping, and saddle bronc riding along with events that the entire family can participate in including riding the mechanical bull, rock climbing, pony rides and a petting zoo. Also, each year, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Benefit Rodeo proudly nominates a Rodeo Queen to represent the rodeo. The Rodeo Queen plays an important role in promoting the rodeo event throughout the coming year.
Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is one of the largest and longest running rodeo-sanctioning organization in the world. The PRCA calls Colorado Springs, Colorado home and is recognized as the leading governing rodeo body. The organization is committed to maintaining the highest of standards in every area including the working conditions of the contestants, and health and welfare of livestock. The PRCA is proud to support our future generations with youth rodeo, educational camps and financial assistance for outstanding achievements by younger participants who are preparing to enter into professional rankings. Other areas of support include Tough Enough to Wear Pink, Miss Rodeo America, the American Quarter Horse Association and the ProRodeo Hall of Fame.

Girl & Boy Scouts of America – The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s leading youth development organizations dedicated to providing a program to develop character and teach younger generations the importance of values-based youth development, physical fitness and integrity.
Breast Cancer Awareness – Tough Enough to Wear Pink was created by breast cancer survivor Terry Wheatley to highlight the sport of professional rodeo and well as rally the rodeo community to join together to raise breast cancer awareness and the continuing fight for a cure.
4-H Club – 4-H is the largest youth development organization in the Country and responds to the everyday challenges that can be found in communities across the country. The four values that members work on through fun and creative programs are Head, Heart, Hands, and Health which are the primary fundamentals of the 4-H program.
Children’s Fund – The Children’s Fund is committed to providing a sense of well-being and improving the quality of life for children in the local community. Our goal is to invest today to bring brighter futures for those children with the most need, children that are at risk in our communities.
Man Up Crusade – Man Up Crusade is a non-profit group that aims to raise awareness of domestic violence in the community along with generating funds for victims and their families that have been affected by such issues.
